Sizer 2.01 Installation Guide (Adobe Copy)

READ PRIOR TO INSTALLING

For NEW users of SSI Sizer 2.01, go to paragraph "B"

For current users of Sizer 1.0 SR2, please read and follow paragraph "A"

A.  VERY IMPORTANT:  Sizer 2.01 is NOT an update to Sizer 1.0, it is a new version. Because of this, designs that were created in Sizer 1 will NOT properly run in Sizer 2.01. This is because we have changed some of our product nomenclature, added new products  and adjusted our tables to reflect the latest Engineering Standards.

OUR RECOMMENDATION:

  1. Take all of your Sizer 1 files, and save them under a new folder named Sizer 1.
  2. Create a new folder called Sizer 2.
  3. Install Sizer 2.01 – this is designed to not overwrite Sizer 1.
  4. Do all new designs in Sizer 2
  5. If you are just reviewing an old Sizer 1 design, open in Sizer 1.
  6. If you are updating a Sizer 1 design, redesign this in Sizer 2 so that you have the correct product and specifications – DO NOT open a Sizer 1 file in Sizer 2. While you will receive warning messages that you are doing this, Sizer 2 will try to open, but the original data will not properly map, and will provide faulty engineering data.

After you install Sizer 2.01, make a note of the Software ID# and follow the instructions in Paragraph “B”.
